1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Moveham app, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms currently govern your access to and use of our ride-sharing services .
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via in-app message or email where possible. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on the platform. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Eligibility
- Age Limits: Riders must be at least 18 years old. Drivers must be at least 21 years old. Guardians may create and use an account to book rides for minors under 18, but the guardian remains fully responsible.
- Valid ID: A valid government-issued ID (e.g., driver's license, passport, national ID card, voter's card) is required.
- Account Ownership: Users must create an account in their own name and provide accurate information. Account sharing is prohibited. We may use biometrics, OTP verification, or other measures to enforce this.
3. Services Provided
Our platform offers ride-sharing services, connecting riders with independent Driver Partners for on-demand transportation.
Service Areas: Services are currently available in Lagos State (Ibeju-Lekki and Epe Axis). We may expand or modify service areas at any time with notice where practicable.
4. User Responsibilities
Accurate Information
Users must provide accurate and truthful information. Riders must provide correct pickup and drop-off locations. Multiple offenses of providing false information may result in account suspension or permanent ban.
Community Guidelines
Users must treat others with respect. Harassment, abuse, discriminatory behavior, violence, or threats will not be tolerated and may result in immediate suspension.
5. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Firearms, ammunition, or other weapons
- Illegal drugs or substances
- Flammable goods, chemicals, or hazardous materials
- Perishable items (e.g., food, plants) unless specifically arranged and approved via the app in advance
- Other items that may be hazardous or pose a risk to drivers, users, or the public
Note: Users are responsible for insuring valuable items such as cash or jewelry.
6. Fees & Payments
Fare Calculation
Fares are calculated using a base fare, per-kilometer rate, per-minute rate, distance, and duration, with a minimum fare where applicable. An estimated fare is shown before confirmation.
Surcharges
We do not apply surge pricing. Tolls, taxes, and other applicable fees may be added where necessary.
Taxes
Users are responsible for all applicable taxes.
Payment Methods
We operate a fully cashless payment system through the MovePay wallet, powered by Flutterwave. The wallet is designed in compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations for electronic payments and digital wallets. Upon registration, each user is assigned a unique virtual account number. Wallet funding may be subject to applicable bank or transfer charges. All transactions are processed securely.
7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees may apply if a user cancels after the driver has arrived or is en route. See our Refund Policy for details.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be issued for technical issues, driver cancellations, or other cases beyond user control. Requests must be submitted within 24 hours.
8. Rider Onboarding Process
Registration Requirements
To become a Rider:
- Download the Moveham app
- Create an account using your email
- Verify your phone number via OTP
- Provide accurate personal information
- Accept these Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy
9. Rider Agreement
By using Moveham as a Rider, you agree to:
- Provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations
- Be ready at the pickup point within 5 minutes of driver arrival
- Treat Driver Partners with respect and refrain from harassment or abuse
- Not request violation of traffic laws
- Pay the displayed fare
- Wear seatbelts at all times
- Not carry prohibited items
- Keep the vehicle clean
- Provide honest ratings and feedback
- Report safety concerns immediately via the app
10. Driver Partner Onboarding Process
Registration Requirements
To become a Driver Partner, you must:
- Create an Account: Complete in-app registration
- Document Verification: Upload valid government ID, driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance
- Vehicle Inspection: Pass required inspection in line with Lagos State guidelines
- Training: Complete Moveham orientation
- Account Activation: Approval within 3-5 business days
Driver Eligibility Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver's license with required endorsements
- Must have at least 1 year of driving experience
- Must have legal access to a suitable vehicle
- Vehicle must not be older than 10 years (with possible flexibility in exceptional cases)
- Must have valid motor insurance
- Must have a compatible smartphone
- Must comply with Lagos State requirements, including LASDRI certification where applicable
Vehicle Requirements
Insurance:
Drivers must maintain valid comprehensive motor insurance meeting Nigerian and Lagos State minimum requirements.
Registration:
Vehicles must be fully registered and licensed per local laws, including Lagos State vehicle inspections.
Maintenance:
Drivers are responsible for keeping vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition.

- Road Worthiness certificate
- Valid Driver License
- Vehicle Insurance Policy
- LASDRI certification (where required)
11. Driver Partner Agreement
Independent Contractor Status
Drivers are independent contractors, not employees. They handle their own expenses, taxes, and benefits, and enjoy flexibility in schedules and routes.
Driver Conduct
- Professional Behavior: Courteous and professional conduct at all times
- No Harassment: Zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination
- No Drugs/Alcohol: Must not operate under the influence
Operational Rules
- Accept trips only via the app
- No unauthorized passengers
- Follow GPS routes unless a safer option is mutually agreed
- Maintain all required licenses and insurance
- Report accidents or incidents immediately
Earnings & Commissions
- Commission Rates: Drivers earn 85%–90% of the fare (Moveham service fee: 10%–15%). Deductions (if any) will be clearly communicated.
- Payout Schedule: Weekly payouts, subject to verification and any applicable deductions or delays due to banking processes.
12. Safety Features
Moveham provides robust in-app safety features designed to protect both riders and drivers. These include automatic trip sharing with trusted contacts, real-time trip tracking, shake-to-send emergency alerts, and incident reporting. Riders can also verify trips using a secure PIN shared with the driver before the journey begins. Drivers are required to carry valid insurance, and users are encouraged to actively use these safety tools. In the event of any incident, users should contact support immediately.
13. Liability Disclaimer
Platform as Facilitator: Moveham is a technology platform connecting riders with independent Driver Partners. We do not provide transportation services ourselves.
Limited Liability: Our liability is limited to the fare paid for the specific trip, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Moveham. Drivers are responsible for their own insurance and compliance with Lagos State regulations. We are not liable for driver actions, delays, or incidents beyond our direct control.
14. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or ban users for violations including low ratings, misconduct, safety risks, fraud, or false information:
- Violate these Terms
- Harassment, abuse, or discrimination
- Safety risks or reckless behavior
- Fraud or platform manipulation
- Consistently low ratings (below 4.0 for Drivers, below 3.5 for Riders)
- False documentation
Banned users may appeal the decision via support@moveham.com within 7 days. Wallet balances will be handled fairly where possible (subject to verification). Refunds for banned accounts are at our discretion.
15. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect and process personal data (including location data) in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). Please review our Privacy Policy for details on data handling, consent, rights, and security measures.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Applicable Law: Governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Dispute Resolution: Disputes should first be resolved via in-app support, then email to support@moveham.com.
Unresolved disputes shall be referred to mediation or binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, seated in Nigeria. For consumer disputes, users retain the right to approach appropriate courts in Nigeria as permitted by law.
17. Miscellaneous
Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, or government actions).
Indemnity: You agree to indemnify Moveham against claims arising from your misuse of the platform or violation of these terms.
Intellectual Property: All content, logos, and app features are owned by Moveham or its licensors. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Severability & Entire Agreement: If any provision is invalid, the rest remain enforceable. These terms constitute the entire agreement.
